DKS Synth.Lab tests our Para S Plus

Intro

Daniele from the YouTube channel DKS Synth.Lab put our Para S Plus studio stand through its paces. In a detailed unboxing, setup, and review, he explains why the Para S Plus has become his new favorite stand in the studio — especially compared to his previous stand from another well-known brand.

Setup & first impressions

Daniele already highlights the high-quality workmanship during the unboxing. All metal parts are neatly packaged, nothing rattles, and everything arrives safely. The assembly process is structured, with all components such as vertical supports, arms, trays, and the power strip holder thoughtfully organized.

„The packaging is really well done. Everything is made of high-quality metal, neatly sorted, nothing rattles.“

He chooses the S version with an integrated power strip

as well as optional shorter rear bars to flexibly switch between two or three tiers (Cedro or Para). Assembly is straightforward and allows for an initial ergonomic height adjustment.

Stability & flexibility in studio use

Daniele tests the stand with heavy synths like the Jupiter X and the Yamaha Montage and is impressed:

„Even when playing or moving the keyboard – it doesn’t wobble at all.“

The Para S Plus demonstrates maximum stability and rigidity in his daily studio use – even on the third tier.

Unlimited expandability

Daniele particularly praises the modularity of the system. From the start, he uses only two tiers, even though the Para S Plus is designed for three. If needed, he can expand the setup at any time. He also points out how important the optional expander for deeper keyboards can be, or how helpful optional rear bars are for creating more space between the tiers.

„If you have deep synths, take a close look at the accessories. The flexibility is enormous.“

Why Daniele switched

His previous studio stand — also modular but unstable under heavier loads — could no longer meet his requirements. In particular, the limited depth and the mounting system with only a single central screw left him with little choice:

„With the old system, I simply couldn’t set up deeper synths like the Montage or the Jupiter X properly.“

With the Blackpanthersystem, he can freely position his gear, achieve the ergonomics he needs, and even customize the stand to his workflow. All components are made of metal, built to last, and contribute to a high-quality studio setup feel.

Conclusion: A stand for life

Daniele is clearly impressed and plans to continue using the Para S Plus in future studio videos, reels, and demos. For him, it’s clear:

„If you have two to three heavy synths and you’re looking for a stable stand that can be expanded flexibly – take a look at this one. It’s absolutely indestructible.“
